An Invitation to ‘Tea and Empathy’
Monday 1st March is an important day for me and I would like to celebrate it with you as a tribute to an amazing lady who loved her tea. She liked to have it served in two cups, each half full, so it cooled faster! This special lady was my mum, who lived independently till a few weeks before dying peacefully in her sleep at the grand age of 94.
This could be seen as a testament to the anti-oxidant properties of tea, but in her case, it was more likely the well-known soothing emotional benefits of a good cup of tea, (and a biscuit of course!)
How long does it take you to drink a cup of tea? Or coffee? Perhaps twenty minutes?
How about giving yourself something extra with your cuppa on Monday, and sorting out something that will improve your chances of living to 94?
Is there something in your life that bugs you, you never quite get round to dealing with it, and it has a knock-on effect on your day, your mood, your relationships? Clutter in a corner, unfinished decorating, unsorted photographs; you name it, no end to the possibilities. Is this you, or another woman you know?
It is often the small things in life that create the most insidious stress, like a program that is constantly running in the background on your computer, slowing it down. Our energy is sapped, we lose something of ourselves, we don’t laugh or smile so much.
So this is my invitation as a gift to women who would like to join my mum’s tea party - a Tea and Empathy session on Monday, 1st March 2010. Just 20 minutes on the phone with me, long enough to enjoy your cuppa, address that one niggle, and find a solution that you can take away with you.
RSVP Get you tea whilst it is hot! First come, first served!

Looking forward to a great tea party, my mum would be disappointed to miss out, but delighted to know that you are celebrating her life and yours by doing this.
With warm regards
Jenny Cooper
PS The tea party was such a delight that I am going to celebrate Mum's tea drinking each year.
See who came to the first party
